All Gods in Death Must Die Listed

Oh no, they're hot!

Death Must Die definitely didn’t borrow the concept of receiving fantastic blessings from unrealistically attractive divine beings from any other popular indie rogue-lite game. These divine, beautiful gods are here to help you in your task of accomplishing the game’s title, and here are all of them.

All Gods in Death Must Die

There are currently 9 gods in Death Must Die, with one of them being “unplayable,” and it’s your main target in the game. You know who I’m talking about.

Summer, Goddess of Fire

The first divine being you’ll encounter. Summer incorporates her heat affinity in her personality and looks and wishes to see the heroes unleashing chaos upon Death’s realm just because she likes watching it. C’mon, let the girl be a bit silly!

Most of her blessings are spells, and they’re all fire-oriented, and most of them leave flames through the battlefield, which instantly afflicts enemies who step on them.

Winter, Goddess of Cold

Winter is the literal polar opposite of her sister Summer, and she values beauty (not only hers but of the whole world) over everything. Her reason for helping the heroes is that Death brings an end to all beautiful things on Earth whenever her season comes up.

She has fewer offensive blessings than her sister, but these are focused on freezing enemies and not letting them react to your assaults.

Krom, God of Conquest

Mister Definitely-Not-Ares is the crudest God of the bunch, obsessed with victory, glory, and results. He wishes to be the sole harbinger of death and will help the heroes with his powerful blessings.

Said blessings can Rupture enemies and slowly lead them to their demise, as well as give the heroes more tools such as flying buzz saws and chains of war that were not inspired by the weapon used by another similarly-themed video game protagonist.

Mort, Daughter of Death

Not even his daughter can stand Death anymore, and that’s not just a phase. Mort wants to teach his father a lesson, even if that means aiding unknown adventures in slaying him.

She gives out many death-themed blessings, usually including the Cursed debuff, which can instantly defeat an afflicted enemy. She also has plenty of summons, such as ravens and skeletons.

Leigong, God of Lightning

The God of K-pop is just a chill guy with a sense of hurry, but he also likes to get a bit silly. He’s aiding the heroes just because he wants to mess with Death a little bit to see his reaction, and I respect the hell out of that.

His lighting blessings may lack raw power, but are incredibly useful for survivability or to help clean enemies from far away.

Moirai, Goddesses of Fate

A three-in-one pack composed of the sisters Clo, Lachi and Aisa. They’re all collectively representing the goddess of fate and destiny and are just tagging along with the heroes to see which will be their next exciting choices.

That’s why their blessings won’t exactly help them defeat the enemies directly, but boost their basic status or grant them things like extra reroll dices to get stronger blessings later by literally deciding their fate.

Lady Justice, Goddess of Balance

Justice is beautiful. I mean, blind. Lady Justice has had enough of Death’s transgressions and wants to see him punished for taking lives through many unfair methods. She has some good intentions beneath her cold attitude, and she’s willing to give you the tools to deliver her namesake with your own hands.

Justice’s blessings are the most defensive in the game, including things like giving you a barrier that protects you from a hit, HP restoration (one of the few sources for the stat) and stunning enemies that hit you.

Time, God of Time

Time itself is the reason you’re even able to defy Death. Similarly to Justice, he wants to put an end to Death’s transgressions of stealing the remaining time of the living and is willing to pass all of its knowledge to the heroes.

Said knowledge comes in the form of Experience, of course! His blessings are experience-based, helping you either get levels faster or use them to deal direct damage to enemies, as well as sometimes distorting time and space itself.

Death, God of Death

The big unseen villain in the game. Almost every character in the game has a gripe with Death (and who doesn’t, really?), and all will be better if he just tastes a bit of his own medicine. But if we ever get to kill Death, we’ll have to wait until the game’s out of its Early Access stages.

It would do for a cool twist if Death eventually started giving us some blessings after defeating him a few times, but we can’t be sure if that’ll ever happen. Would love to see it, though!
