There are countless cryptids in the game, with some being more famous and easily found than others, but all proving dangerous. Here are all the Fallout 76 cryptids you can find in Appalachia.
Every Cryptid in Fallout 76
There is a large selection of cryptids in Fallout 76, with the most common being the Mothman, which is found on countless promotional materials and as part of numerous quests and factions in the game. Alongside the Mothman, there’s the Blue Devil, Flatwoods Monster, Jersey Devil, and many others. And yes, you can hunt them all down and kill them.

As you can see, some cryptids in the game appear far more often than others. A few spawn naturally around the game world, like the Snallygaster and Wendigo, some only spawn during events, and others are rare spawns as part of Expeditions. It’ll take time to track each one down.
How to Beat Cryptids in Fallout 76
Unfortunately, many of the game’s cryptids launch ambush assaults. You may be wandering through the woods, minding your own business, just to come under attack by a walking behemoth. Or, you might be lucky to be involved with one of the many world events. In such a case, you will typically have other players to help defeat the cryptid.
No matter how you face one, the goal is to keep some distance between you and them. Most deal tremendous damage up close, so kite them and unleash on them with a ranged weapon. If you’re using a melee build, I recommend switching to something different for a time.
It’s typically best to take advantage of VATS against cryptids in Fallout 76!
