The Season of The Seraph has landed, and it’s full of everything a guardian could want. Lore-thick story lines, weird witchcraft, and plenty of loot to grind for. But perhaps one of the crown gems of the season is the addition of Competitive Divisions to the Crucible. This is an addition players have requested for many seasons, as the Trials of Osiris have proven to be less than enjoyable for the average Destiny player.
And finally, Bungie has heard our prayers. Competitive Division is simply Ranked by another name, and like other shooters with similar game modes, there are ranks that can be earned and lost.
All Competitive Division Ranks in Destiny 2 – Listed
There are six total ranks a guardian can move through in a Season of Competitive Division. From lowest to highest, they are:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Adept
- Ascendant
In an effort to avoid locking loot behind walls that less skilled players will probably never have the chance to earn, Bungie has chosen not to offer gun or armor rewards to players in higher ranks. Instead, players will receive an efficiency bonus depending on how high their rank is. This will allow players to grind through Crucible levels easier.

Here are the bonuses players can expect:
- Bronze – 1.0x
- Silver – 1.1x
- Gold – 1.2x
- Platinum – 1.3X
- Adept – 1.4x
- Ascendant – 1.5x
This efficiency reward will allow players to earn the general Crucible rewards 10%-20% faster. This bonus will also stack with both the scheduled Bonus Ranks weeks, and the “hidden” bonus in Crucible Labs. Bungie predicts that, with this mechanic, 95% of players will be earning more reputation than they have in previous Seasons.
But the real reward, according to Bungie, is that the Competitive Division “Lets you know where you actually sit in the hierarchy of players better than KDA, win percentage, or a third-party Elo ranking ever could.”
Good luck climbing that ladder, guardian!
