WRC Season 3
You will have to pick a car. You can choose between the Mazada RX7 Type RZ or the Nissan Nismo R34GT-R Z-Tune. The Mazada is a drift car that has average attributes. The Nissan boasts more weight and a higher top speed and acceleration. Make your choice and continue. You will be able to win the other car via a vehicle challenge.
Next you can select anew sponsor or change your others. Choose the sponsors whose objectives fit your driving style the most. After you select your sponsors, continue.
You have been invited to race with the Dragons. The first event takes place in Hong Kong. This is a Togue race, which is a best of 3 race. You can win in two ways. You can cross the finish line first or you can leave your opponent in the dust. If you create a 5 second lead in the race, you win automatically. While this is a interesting option, just focus on crossing the finish line first. The 5-second rule will come in to play by doing just that. Be sure not to hit the other cars as this could cause a major problem.
Hong Kong Touge
Ap Lei Chau
2 out of 3
This is a new event. The Touge is a challenge, but you have the skills to handle it. Select your new car, and then continue to the race. Remember you must stay 5 seconds ahead or cross the line first.
The track at Ap Lei Chau is amazing. It’s wide-open spaces and manageable turns scream drift. Luckily, so does your car. This is a great mode to practice your drifting skills. You only have to race against one other car. The most important part of this race is controlling the gap.
Remember this is Touge! This is a best 2 out of 3 races contest. You will start the race at a different starting position than your last one, but the same rules apply. Keep the gap and stay in the lead. Do that and you have this race in the bag and you will be invited to more.
After the race you will be able to select a new car. Either the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG or the BMW M3 Coupe. The C63 is made to drift. IT also boars an impressive top speed and acceleration. The M3 Coupe is balanced and has a little less power than the C63. You will be able to win the other car in a vehicle challenge. Make your choice and move on to the next invitation from the Dragons.
2 out of 3 Races
You are about to enter your second Touge. Now that you know the rules, you should have no problem taking out the competition.
The bends of this track are ideal for practicing drifts. Don’t focus on that too much, as you have to focus on winning the race and the respect of the Dragons. The track has many open areas where you can gain momentum. There are also wide bends made for drifting.
This course will eventually take you up a steep climb. Avoid hitting the mountain of rock on the left to avoid spinning out. This could cause you to loose position and momentum in the race. Remember, Touge is best 2 out of 3 races. Focus on crossing the finish line and you will move on to the next invitation.
Hong Kong Race
Pok Fu Lam
Now we are returning to what makes the WSR proud. This is a simple race to the finish. Beat out your other competitors and make it to the finish line first.
Before you were only against one other racer, now you are against 7 of the best the Dragons have to offer. Do not take anyone in this race lightly, especially Zhi Huang. These drivers are out for the win.
This course may prove to be the most difficult of this series. The course is full of wide turns so be prepared to brake appropriately. If you take a turn to slow, you will loose position. Stay focused on winning and you will add another first place finish to your record.
2 out of 3 Races
Now we return to the Touge formula. Remember that you must win 2 out of 3 races and if you can manage to stay 5 seconds ahead of your opponent, you gain the win. Crossing the finish line first will also net you a victory.
Sakura Pass takes you up and then down a steep mountain pass. This course is a little tighter than the others so focus on pulling away in the lead early. You only have one other car to worry about. When descending the mountain, be careful. A spinout here could cause you to loose the race. Remember it is best 2 out of 3. After you win, move on to the next club invitation.
This club is highly respected. They focus on the Checkpoint game mode of racing. The clock is always against you. You must cover the most ground in the quickest amount of time. Also, watch out for Retired drivers on the track that can become a true hazard.
Orra Quay Loop
The race begins with you already in motion. Be prepared to have your foot on the throttle and race against the clock.
Remember, this is a race against the clock. Focus on covering ground and hitting as many checkpoints as possible. Hitting these checkpoints adds valuable time to the clock. This time is imperative to allow you co over more ground. Do not focus on your position in the race, just focus on hitting as many checkpoints as you can.
Orra Quay Loop is a great course. The course features many open spaces that allows you the breath in the drift. Be aware of the deep turns that the course has and you will be number one in no time.
You are now able to pick another car. While the Nissan 370Z Roadster is balanced, it lacks in acceleration and top speed. The Honda S2000 is a car built to drift. No matter what you choose, you can win the other in a vehicle challenge. Make your choice and continue to the next Dubai VIP invitation.
Hong Kong Checkpoint
Ap Lei Chau
It is time for your second checkpoint race. You now know the formula, so prepare to gain the most ground and take the win.
This race is difficult. The game begins with a car jetting ahead of you in the race. Do your best to catch up and pass him. Remember, you are racing the clock so keep the pedal to the floor.
This track features many turns that create tight gaps so take them with care. After this race is completed, move on to the next invitation.
We return to what brought us to the WSR in the first place. This is a race, with no other game modes. Simply be the first to cross the finish line.
This course is definitely our least favorite. The course features multiple steep turns that reduce speed. The sun on this course is also blinding. When the street turns to brink, make sure you focus on your car as the sun will surely blind you.
This is a very tough course and a very tough course. Your drifting skills as well as your power sliding skills are going to lead you to victory. Focus on those and you will receive a first place finish.
We return to the Checkpoint game mode. It’s time for you to race against the clock and focus on covering the most ground.
This track features a up hill climb that can be pretty steep. Remember to watch out for other Retired vehicles on the course as they will slow you down and prevent you from advancing your position. Continuing advancing forward and hit every checkpoint you can to gain the most ground and the win.
By this point you have the option to compete in the invitations from Haruna Kyojin or move on to the WSR Series. We chose to gain more fans and experience by competing with the Kyojin.
The Kyojin are a skilled set that focus on drifting. They will put your drifting skills to the test.
Drift events require you to slide around corners and score points. The driver with the most points at the end of the race wins. Prepare to drift!
This game mode has quickly become our favorite. Every turn is an opportunity to gain points. There is a small clock at the bottom of your point total, signaling how much time you have left to gain points on the course.
Drift past orange cones to gain a multiplier to add to your points. Continue racing and drifting until you reach the end. A top three finish gets you invites to the other competitions. A first place finish gets you bragging rights.
Hong Kong Drift
Ap Lei Chau
You are set to drift again with the Kyojin. After the first drift race, this one should be a piece of cake. Just stay calm and drift around every turn. Remember, if you suffer a collision while drifting, you will loose all points.
This course will force you to drift. The corners and turns are not as well labeled as the last drift, so focus on drifting any chance you get. Gain points and cross the finish to move on to the next invitation.
Orra Quay Loop
Now it is time to leave the drifting behind and show the Kyojin what the WSR is really about. It is time to race! Be the first to the finish! The race is 3 laps so pace yourself.
This course features many turns and a few split lanes to keep things interesting. There is never a true area to box your opponent out. Keep focused on advancing your position, and watch out for the steep turns and split lanes.
We are back to the world of drift. Remember, this is about points so gain as many as possible. Also, when you have a collision while drifting, you loose points. So keep it clean and keep it smooth.
This course has obvious drift areas that make it easier to gain points. Focus on drifting at the right time in those areas, and use the hazard cones to gain extra points.
Now with that race completed, it is time to move on to the WSR Series!
Before entering the WSR Series you must choose a new vehicle. The Ford Mustang Boss 302 is heavy machine that makes it perfect for drifting. The top speed and acceleration make this the perfect racing machine. The Chevrolet Camaro SS has a higher weight and top speed than the Boss 302. No matter what you pick, you can win the other in a vehicle challenge. Make your choice and then continue.
Rockstar Energy Race Series
Dubai, Liveroutes & Hong Kong, Magazine Gap
The first race in the series is two rounds and features the Liveroutes feature where the course changes while you are racing. The WSR series is starting out tough, but you can pull through.
The first race is longer than most and can come in at 4 minutes or more. No description can be given of the course since it will evolve as you play. Simply focus on your sightlines. Do not attempt to memorize the course and you should finish in the top 3.
The pace in the second race is amped up to level 10. The racers are fast and furious and they are out for the win. The tight areas in this race are crucial. The barriers will knock your car around like a ping pong ball and doe series damage. Focus on the wider areas to advance your position and take first place.
You can now choose a car. You can choose between the Chevrolet Cruze Touring Car and the BMW 320 Touring Car. No matter what you pick, you can win the other in a vehicle challenge. Make your choice and continue to the next race.
Freestyle Xtreme Faceoff Series
Okutama, Shinto Shrine
This course is frustrating and may take multiple play throughs in order to pass it. This course is full with steep turns and tight spaces that will cause you to cringe every time you hit your break.
Since it is faceoff, you only have one other car on the course to worry about. The real challenge comes at the end of the race. Focus on nailing the last three turns. If not, it creates the opportunity for your opponent to advance. This race is important and we need a 1st place finish to move on.
Nixion Checkpoint Series
Dubai, Nakheel Vista & Hong Kong, Peak Road Descent
Remember in Checkpoint, it I all about gaining ground and beating the clock.
Focus on advancing as many cars as you see. Be sure to watch out for the Retired drivers whose cars have stopped on the course. This is just like all of the other Checkpoint races. Focus on not only advancing your position, but on making all the checkpoints to gain time.
You need a top three finish here. There are two rounds, but do your best to come in first in the first race to ease the gap in the second.
Vonzipper Race Series
Yas Marina, Paddock Circuit &Yas Marina, South Circuit & Yas Marina, International Circuit
Now you have advanced to night racing! The Yas Marina tracks should come as a breath of fresh air compared to the different game modes and tight spaces of previous tracks.
These circuits may seem easy, but they are tough. Focus on getting an early lead by breaking away from the pack. Focus on taking your turns tight in order to advance and maintain position.
Once you place in the top for this race, you can move on to the next.
Nixon Drift Series
Okutama, Mizu Mountain & Hong Kong, Kowloon Climb
Now it is time to return to the world of drift. You will be drifting in two rounds for points. You have done this before, so this should be a piece of cake.
Both tracks offer up ample opportunities to drift. Do not worry about your opponents, only worry about hitting those drifts and gaining points. Keep an eye out for orange hazard cones. Drift past them to gain more points. Be careful not to spin out of control or have a collision or the points won’t count.
Collect as many points as you can before you cross the finish line. Place first in this race and enter the WSR Championship Final!
WSR Championship Final
This is the final for Season 3! Everything you have done has lead to this point. This race will put WRC on the map.
There is not a lot to be said about theses races. They are straight to the point. Race to the finish line and WRC will be on the map as the premiere racing league.
