“As a long time Call of Duty fan and caster, it’s exciting for me that we’re hosting a YouTube gaming creator tournament with the Call of Duty Endowment,” said Ryan Wyatt, head of gaming, YouTube. “We have a unique opportunity to not only entertain fans at home but also give back to an important charity which supports our heroic troops.”

The first round of the event will feature head to head matchups between the teams, with the top two teams going up against each other in the finals later that day. During the first round, each team will play up to 10 games in a three hour time period.

At the end of each match, the top three scores from each team will be added up to determine the final two teams. From there the final two teams will compete in two matches and the team with the highest point total at the end will be declared the winner.  Further, each creator will be allowed to pick their own teammates and will compete live from their own homes.

“I started my YouTube career making Call Of Duty videos over 10 years ago, I thought it was only fitting to join this YouTube Gaming tournament & show the others how it’s done!” said Vikkstar, who will be competing in Friday’s event.

“But in all seriousness, tournaments like this help bring not only the YouTube community together but also the gaming community as a whole. In times like this, it’s important to stay connected and put on a great show!”
