Xbox has taken another step in pushing XCloud and Xbox Game Pass to more consumers in the world. Today, Xbox and Microsoft announced it will be bringing the service to even more screens.
Xbox & Xbox Game Pass Are Coming To Smart Televisions & Browsers Soon
According to Microsoft’s Website Xbox Wire,
“Xbox is working with global TV manufacturers to embed the Xbox experience directly into internet-connected televisions with no extra hardware required except a controller.”
In this post Xbox also talks about “exploring new subscription offerings” for Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft is all-in on Xbox and allowing them the tools and time it needs to become a subscription service alongside the generational console we get from them.
On top of all of this Xbox Wire also states
“In the next few weeks, cloud gaming on the browser will open to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. With Edge, Chrome, and Safari support, players will be a click away from gaming on almost any device.”
This part of the equation is equally important because a browser-based solution to streaming games appeals to a large audience as well, and if often overlooked when it comes to streaming services in lieu of mobile or televisions.
All of this news is ahead of the big Xbox/Bethesda Showcase this Sunday, most likely to let the games shine instead of talking tech. We’re excited to see what Microsoft has in store for the future of the Xbox brand.
