WWE 13 Developer Picks Up Lingerie Football League License

Famed wrestling developer Yukes Entertainment picks up a surprising license.

Yukes Entertainment has been working with various sports over the years, nailing all the fundamentals behind the Ultimate Fighting Championship with its now-discontinued Undisputed series, and also showing a thing or two about grappling when it comes to its WWE franchise (with WWE 13 headed for a fall 2012 release).  But do you think it can handle scantily clad women on a football field?  We’re going to find out.

The developer has announced that it has picked up the license for the Lingerie Football League, featuring ladies in skivvies playing some rough and tumble football.  Yes, you read that correctly.  There’s such a league.

Anyway, a publisher hasn’t yet been named, but Yukes is currently courting a number of partners who would be interested in bringing the game to life.

But why this franchise, Yukes?  Said the company’s CEO, Yukinori Taniguchi, “We at Yukes feel that there is incredible momentum building behind the LFL and that the sport is perfectly positioned to become the next big franchise in the gaming world.”
