We’re Getting a Zombies Reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on Wednesday

On Twitter, Treyarch announced a Zombies story reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will take place this Wednesday.

The tweet notes “A new Zombies story begins” so it sounds like we’re getting actual story information rather than a look at gameplay and setting alone.

If you’re a huge fan of Zombies in Call of Duty and have been eagerly awaiting news about Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War you’re in luck.

Earlier today, Treyarch shared an official reveal date with the teaser “A new #Zombies story begins” attached to it.

The official reveal is scheduled to take place this Wednesday, September 30, at 10:00 a.m (PT) and 1:00 p.m. (ET).

It’s hard to predict what direction the Zombies story will take in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War given that we’re getting a completely new storyline rather than a continuation of an existing storyline.

On the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War website, a brief description for Zombies can be found that reads:

“Players will bring a Cold War arsenal of weapons and equipment into the next evolution of Treyarch’s signature Zombies co-operative experience.” 

This description doesn’t give us much in the way of setting or characters, or really anything for that matter.

Which is fine, Treyarch is keeping the information under wraps until the big reveal similar to previous reveals they did for the game’s multiplayer. 

In the past, we really enjoyed what Treyarch did with Zombies in the past with fun maps like Kino der Toten and Shangri-La and look forward to seeing where this new Zombies story will be set.

Even more than that, we look forward to diving in and playing the new Zombies once Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is released. 

The release date is still a ways away, but fortunately we won’t have to wait too much longer to see the new Zombies story reveal. Again, the Zombies reveal will take place this Wednesday, September 30, at 10:00 a.m. (PT).

Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to release on November 13 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Battle.net).
