Last year’s Void Terrarium landed firmly on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. This year, NIS America is making its PlayStation 5 review with an updated version. Void Terrarium++ or (void tRrLM();++) will be launching for the PS5 in North America on May 19, and a few days later in Europe.
In addition to the updates you’d expect to resolution and performance, Void Terrarium++ will, per a press release from NISA, include “new emotes, outfits, hairstyles, diseases, and an all new environment to explore.” A new Limited Edition was also announced, and is already up for preorder on the NISA Store website for $54.99.
Once again quoting the release, the set comes with “void tRrLM();++ //Void Terrarium++ Official Soundtrack, "Downloaded Memories'' Set of 5 Art Cards, Exclusive Autographed Sketch by Masayuki Furuya, and Collector's Box.” That’s along with a physical copy of the game for PS5, natch.
Void Terrarium++ PS5 Localization Announced by NIS America
Void Terrarium is a roguelike in the style of a Mystery Dungeon game, but the hook is there’s also a virtual pet-like system on top. You play as a robot attempting to make life comfortable for a little girl. The only problem is she’s ostensibly the only human remaining left on a planet ravaged by toxic fungi.
As “Robbie,” the player explores randomized dungeons in search for food and materials to keep the girl alive, healthy and happy. Along the way you’ll get stronger and more capable, but that doesn’t prevent your fragile friend from contracting diseases or having other issues.
Shifting gears from newsiness, Void Terrarium was one of my favorite games from last year, as you can see in this list piece from before our holiday break. So, needless to say, I’m personally curious about all the new content to dive into. What do our readers think? Let us know on the Prima Games Twitter and Facebook channels!
