Vatra Games, the developer behind the somewhat average Silent Hill: Downpour, could be in a bit of trouble. A tweet from former 2K Czech employee David Semik indicated through a message the words “Vatra Games RIP,” indicating that the developer could be in trouble following the reception of Downpour.
However, Kuju Entertainment, the UK-based parent of the company, indicated that a final decision regarding the company’s fate hasn’t been made yet. “At this stage,” anyway. Currently, Vatra is working on a new untitled project, one that hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Considering the company’s track record between Downpour and the previously released (and poorly received) Rush ‘n Attack: Ex-Patriot, we’re left wondering just what will happen. When we find out more information, we’ll be sure to spread the word.
