Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 First Look At the Baron Clan

“You’re in the game now son. Ever since the night you got bit. That’s just how it is now.” - Josephine, lieutenant of the Baron

Paradox Interactive continues to share more and more about their highly anticipated sequel to Vampire: Masquerade – Bloodlines and the latest feature is all about the Baron: the true rulers of the criminal underbelly of Seattle.. From their abilities, to how they fit into the overall structure of the game’s society, the latest reveal dives deep into yet another clan seen in Bloodlines 2.

The Baron is the third faction that players will be able to represent in the upcoming game and while the head Baron himself remains shrouded in mystery, his works are often carried out by appointed lieutenants. These lieutenants are non-discriminatory, meaning they could be literally anyone. From humans to ghouls, to Thinbloods and vampires – even drifters and local gangs can be under the Baron’s rule.

“Where a less prudent man might turn such capital into a bid for Princedom, he has so far been content to stay in the back-alleys of his turf, hoard favors, and brutally defend his business interests,” explains the studio in a recent update on the game’s official website. “It’s hard to know just how many vampires swear allegiance to The Baron of Aurora. In parts, that’s because very few of Seattle’s Kindred have actually met him. Acting through his lieutenants, he has taken in the city’s destitute, defiant and desperate, turning them into a ruthlessly disciplined force with hands in every shady deal.

Through strategic control and a realistic eye for any sort of power shifts in the city, the Baron and his network of workers is a real powerhouse in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. As for the game itself, the latest adventure begins in March 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC players.
