The Uncharted movie is still up in the air. Sony hasn’t cast Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake, but with so many changes happening who knows what’s happening?

Anyway, the latest involves the departure of another director from the project in Neil Burger.  He follows previously assigned director David O. Russell, who wanted to bring Mark Wahlberg (GAH!) on board as Nathan Drake. Russell apparently didn’t learn anything from Max Payne.

But where the project has lost someone prominent, it has also brought some people on board. The team has hired screenwriters Marianne and Cormac Wibberly to rewrite the film’s script. They know a thing or two about adventure, having previously worked on the Nicolas Cage film National Treasure.

We’ll see what comes of this in the weeks ahead. But someone call Fillion, please?
