Ubisoft has found the voice of the official Assassin’s Creed: Revelations song: 18-year-old Madeline Bell from Moraga, California, USA.
Earlier this month Ubisoft launched an X-Factor-style competition to find the vocalist for the Assassin’s Creed: Revelations theme song.
Film composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception) was after a “soft melodic voice” to sing along to the theme song’s “hauntingly stirring theme score”, composed by Lorne Balfe.
You had to sign up to cloud-based music creation website UJAM, listen to the theme track and record your vocal on top of it.
Now, a jury made up of Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe and Assassin’s Creed music supervisor Simon Landry has picked the winning recording – and you’ll all get to hear it.
They chose Madeline, below, for the “quality, tone and passion with which she interpreted the melody”.
They said her recording was “true to the Assassin’s Creed brand”.
Madeline is an amateur singer, and currently a Health Science major at Saint Mary’s College of California.
She’s won a $1000 prize and gets to record the theme song in a top studio with Zimmer and Balfe. Listen to her winning performance at the UJAM website.
