It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Hasbro-based game for consoles, with EA releasing Family Game Night 4: The Game Show and Trivial Pursuit: Bet Ya Know It back in 2011. However, Ubisoft is about to get the ball rolling again.
The publisher has a new deal with the board game-publishing giant, which will bring several popular brands back to consoles. Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Risk, Cranium and Battleship are included in the deal, though Ubisoft hasn’t announced any specific projects just yet.
As for Hasbro’s partnership with EA, it will continue, but only on the mobile front.
“Ubisoft’s leadership and expertise in the console gaming space will help support Hasbro’s strategy of bringing consumers engaging play experiences with our brands across multiple platforms,” said Hasbro’s senior VP and GM for digital gaming Mark Blecher.
We’ll let you know what Hasbro games Ubisoft has in the works in the months ahead.
