While players on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are eagerly anticipating Assassin’s Creed Unity this fall, it would seem that Ubisoft hasn’t forgotten about those who still call the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 home.
Today, the studio announced that Assassin’s Creed Rogue — a brand new installment in the franchise — is currently in development, and will be available exclusively on previous generation consoles this November 11. The title is being primarily developed by Ubisoft Sofia, with collaborations from several other studios in the family.
Set in the middle of the 18th century during the Seven Years War, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will see players taking on the role of Shay Patrick Cormac, a Templar who suffers the brotherhood’s betrayal, transforming him into an assassin hunter. Featuring an enhanced naval component, players will be able to explore all new locations, including the North Atlantic, Appalachian River Valley and even New York.
Although the game isn’t set to release for a couple of months, gamers who are planning on picking it up will be rewarded with pre-order bonuses in the form of The Siege of Fort De Sable Mission and The Ultimate Hunter Pack.
