Toys R Us Selling Wave 3 amiibo Early

Toon Link, Bowser, Lucario and Sheik available to buy at random TRU stores.

The tentative release date for select Wave 3 amiibo in the U.S. is February 1st. It seems, however, that certain Toys R Us stores around the country have the figures for sale right now. Most notably Toon Link, Bowser, Lucario (store exclusive) and Sheik.

The news comes from subreddit r/amiibo, where several members were able to pick up the figures early. Some were unfortunately turned away when TRU employees realized they had put out the amiibo too soon. Curious, we swung by a local Toys R Us but left empty handed.  

This seems to be TRU only at the moment, so call beforehand. In addition, remaining Wave 3 amiibo Ike, King Dedede, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man will appear later in February; Shulk, Rosalina and Meta Knight are exclusive to GameStop, Target and Best Buy, respectively.
