Aspyr’s Tomb Raider I-III Remastered has received several updates since launch and is in a pretty good place. It’s the best way to experience the original trilogy on PC, and today’s update fixes more bugs and adds new features, including 60 FPS support for Classic Graphics Mode.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Finally Adds 60 FPS Support to Classic Graphics Mode

The main highlight of this Challenge Mode Patch 3 is the addition of 60 FPS support for Classic Graphics Mode, which, if you aren’t aware, can be toggled at any time.

It previously ran at 30 FPS, which was fine back then, but with current hardware, there’s no real excuse, and it also led to frame-pacing issues. This update addresses that across all platforms, letting you enjoy a seamless 60 FPS experience, especially on consoles as you switch between remastered and classic visuals.

In addition to 60 FPS, Aspyr has added a brightness slider that lets you adjust intensity across all three titles, especially for darker areas that aren’t always well lit. Pickable items are now brighter too and easier to see in HD Graphics Mode.

This update also includes bug fixes across all platforms, plus platform-specific fixes. These cover practically every category, from animation issues and UI inconsistencies to performance, achievements, clipping, and more. You can read the full list of changes in detail here. Patch 3 is out now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 1 & Nintendo Switch 2, PC, iOS, and Android.

The developers have confirmed that Patch 4 is already in progress, which means they’ll continue to support the collection. Earlier in March, Aspyr released the “Challenge Mode” update, which added over 10 new outfits, a new challenge mode, and new achievements. They’ve continued updating the collection since then, further refining the new additions and the existing titles.

Some of the Challenge Mode updates haven’t been perfect, but the team has been listening to feedback, and it’s nice to see them make notable improvements along the way.

The collection is currently 70% off on both Steam (until August 30, 2026) and the PlayStation Store (until August 27, 2026).
