Respawn Entertainment’s multiplayer-oriented first-person shooter Titanfall was a hit with players at E3 – and it also got the attention of critics as well. The Game Critics Awards – a yearly handout of the best E3 titles – gave Respawn’s blast-fest a whopping six nominations, including Best of Show. The prior record was five, held by Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us in 2012.
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs took second place with five nominations, while Activision’s Destiny also received recognition.
