Telltale Games confirmed a while back that it had worked out a deal to produce a series of games based on Bill Willingham's award-winning comic book series Fables. Today the company made good on its announcement, confirming that its next project will in fact be The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables series.
The game actually takes place prior to the events that happen in the first issue of Fables. In case you never read it, it's a series where fairy tale and storybook characters actually exist in our world, complete with all of their powers.
The Wolf Among Us will have you play as Bigby Wolf, who's pretty much known as The Big Bad Wolf. According to Telltale, "Now the sheriff of a hidden community in New York City, exiled from the land of fairy tales, Bigby is tasked by the bureaucrat Snow White to keep order within a society of mythical creatures and characters trying to remain undetected in the world of the mundane."
The game's looking great thus far and Telltale is set to show off more next month at E3. We'll have a full report after getting a look at it.
The Wolf Among Us is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC/Mac this Summer.
