A few days ago, we reported on the news that a new DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II was in the works, set for release on April 16th. At the time, Activision didn’t confirm the existence of the pack – but today, there’s a new trailer for it. Huzzah!
The Uprising pack consists of four new multiplayer maps, as well as a new zombies multiplayer mode, all of which will certainly keep you busy.
Magma is a stage where you have to fight through a lava-corrupted city, while avoiding getting burned to death. Obviously.
Encore is a map that takes place in an outdoor amphitheater in London, complete with a multi-tiered stage design and plenty of opportunity to cap enemies in the audience seats.
Vertigo takes place on the rooftop of a skyscraper in India, where it’s a free-for-all to see who can survive while running through its glass corridors. (Shame we can’t use that parked flying vehicle for some sniping action.)
The last of the multiplayer maps, Studio, takes place in a Hollywood backlot, where it’s lights, camera, frags on all your friends.
Finally, with Mob of the Dead, you’re battling your way through Alcatraz, using 1920’s style weapons (like a tommy gun) to lay down zombie gangsters. The DLC features such stars as Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano and Michael Madsen, popular favorites from mob films. (Anyone see Goodfellas?)
You can watch the trailer here, and get ready to conquer the Uprising on April 16th on Xbox Live. (The maps will release at a later time on PS3 and PC.)
