This morning Nintendo released a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. This is a port of the Wii U game with additional content. Bowser’s Fury is an all-new expansion for the game that seems to feature quite a few interesting additions.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Gets New Trailer & Nintendo Switch Edition
In the trailer, which can be seen below, you’ll notice Mario goes, well, Super Saiyan. After picking up a giant bell, Mario Transfers into a glowing lion to fight a giant Bowser. We’re not sure how many times you’ll be doing this in the game, but it’s an excellent addition none the less.
We also got a glimpse at some of the levels, and platforming players can expect from the game. That’s not all, though. Nintendo also announced a brand new Nintendo Switch edition.
The Mario Red & Blue Edition features an all read console with red Joy-Cons and a blue Joy-Con grip. It also comes with Mario themed Switch carrying case.
This new version of the Switch will launch on February 12, the same days as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
The press release also talks about Amiibo functionality for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
“Two new amiibo figures will be launching alongside the game and available for purchase separately at select retailers. Both the new Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo will offer in-game enhancements for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Bowser and Bowser Jr. also have large roles to play in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, and their amiibo figures, which will also be returning for purchase at select retailers, have special activations in Bowser’s Fury, too.”
