Today, nWay revealed that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is about to collide with Capcom’s Street Fighter with some new DLC. On May 25, 2021 players will be able to pick up the Crimson Hawk Ranger and Blue Phoenix Ranger, also known as Ryu and Chun-Li respectively. A new edition of Battle for the Grid comprising all the DLC is also launching on the same date.
As wild as these Street Fighter Power Rangers are, they’re actually not new! nWay’s previous Power Rangers game, a mobile fighter called Legacy Wars, is where this Capcom/Saban crossover originated. A live action short film was even produced for the occasion, and you can check that out below:
Yes, this is absolutely ridiculous, but it’s also pretty rad. I mean, usually when Capcom drops its characters into something else you just get those characters. But unlike Fortnite or other projects, there’s original character design work here and that rules. If you want in, the Street Fighter pak will be bundled up for $12.50, which includes some “exclusive skins.” The characters will be available piecemeal for $5.99 each.

The Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid – Super Edition, which includes everything and then some, will drop on May 25 as well. A retail release is planned for July, and folks who have the base game already digitally will be able to upgrade instead of having to fully double-dip.
