For a game as beloved as Street Fighter 6, there’s been a surprising shortage of DLC costumes. There’s about to be some relief from this costume drought, however, with stunning Outfit 3s for the Year 2 DLC characters slated to drop alongside the upcoming “Fighters Edition” of the game.

It’s been almost a year exactly since the reveal trailer for Street Fighter 6’s Year 2 DLC characters, M. Bison, Terry, Mai, and Elena, dropped on June 7, 2024. On June 5, 2025, the final fighter of the group Elena will join the fray along with DLC costumes for each of the four newest characters. In a recent video, we can see each fighter in their newest outfits squaring off against themselves in their default costumes. Bison looks cool and terrifying with short hair and a warm coat, Terry is ready to hit the streets for a game of hoops in a basketball jersey, Mai dons a flowy robe and red jeans, and Elena rocks a cute updo and overalls.

If it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve gotten Street Fighter 6 costume DLC, that’s because the last batch of Outfits was released over a year ago. The last Outfit 3 DLC to be added to the game was the costumes for the Year 1 DLC characters, Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma, on May 22, 2024. Before this, the Outfit 3 DLC of the 18 base game characters was made available in December 2023, about six months after Street Fighter 6 launched. Although it’s natural to have to wait for the Year 2 characters to be released before they can receive costume DLC, many fans are still surprised that the base game and Year 1 DLC characters haven’t received Outfit 4s yet, considering how well-received the game and its cosmetics have been.

The release of these latest DLC outfits, plus the final Year 2 DLC character Elena, all align with the release of the “Years 1-2 Fighters Edition” of Street Fighter 6. This version of the game is the same as the standard Street Fighter 6, but with all the Year 1 and 2 DLC characters and stages included. It will launch on June 5 alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 and will feature cross-platform play. Now is a great opportunity to hit the streets for anyone who hasn’t already, but the stylish Outfits still need to be purchased separately.
