Interviewed by the multi-talented Greg Miller on the Kinda Funny Gamecast, Howard stated that Starfield’s first upcoming DLC would arrive in the fall, specifically toward the end of 2024. With this new expansion on the way, Todd Howard didn’t unveil anything revolutionary about the Shattered Space DLC, except to anticipate its launch this approaching fall.

Beyond that, Howard has kept his lips shut about the more surprising things within Shattered Space, but it seems like everything is on the right track. The director also stated the company was working on a few much-needed updates coming in the future, revolving around new display modes, gameplay options, ship-building elements, and city maps. On top of that, Howard stated the team was additionally working on Starfield’s Creation Kit, allowing players to mod their games. More news about these updates will supposedly be revealed next week, as of writing.
