It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from the Legacy of Kain universe. Defiance, a game that featured two playable characters in a twisting storyline, came out a few years ago; and, most recently, the pair returned as downloadable characters in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. But now they could be making their full-fledged return.
Square Enix recently filed a new registration for a site called WarForNosgoth.com, which is a familiar locale taken from the series. Though no other details have been given, Square still holds the rights to the franchise, so an announcement of a new game could be very likely, particularly at an event like PAX East or E3. The only question now is, who will be the star – Kain, or Raziel, the Soul Reaver who’s taken the helm in the series after the release of Blood Omen.
