In celebration of Sonic’s 30th anniversary, Sega (along with social media accounts for Sonic the Hedgehog) have announced a special Sonic Central livestream event. Set to take place on Thursday, May 27, the livestream will reportedly offer viewers a look at new Sonic-related projects, partnerships, events, and more!  

Sonic 30th Anniversary Stream to Offer First Look at New Projects

Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog have been patiently waiting for something big to be announced given Sonic’s 30th anniversary celebrations taking place this year.

After an announcement shared to the Sonic the Hedgehog social media accounts earlier today, it sounds like the wait may finally be over.

On Thursday, May 27 at 12:00 p.m. (ET), a special Sonic the Hedgehog livestream will air. Teasing the livestream event, it’s noted that viewers can look forward to, “A first look at some of the projects, partnerships, and events for our #Sonic30th celebration!” 

As far as what will be shown during the Sonic Central livestream, we can only guess. A new Sonic the Hedgehog game would make for an exciting reveal and is high on our list of predictions for the livestream.

We also may also hear about new collaborations similar to the Sonic outfit in Fall Guys and addition of Sonic to Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. We’re curious as to what you think will be shown during the Sonic Central livestream.
