Sony’s got a pretty good game line-up set for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita this year, but Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time won’t be among them.
The highly anticipated follow-up to the master thief’s previous platforming adventures has been confirmed for an early 2013 release, first revealed following the company’s GamesCom press conference yesterday in Germany.
“With a robust and diverse catalog of first and third party content launching this holiday season– including Wonderbook: Book of Spells, PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale, Little Big Planet Karting, Assassins Creed III, Assassin’s Creed III Liberation, Madden 13 and Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified – we have decided to release Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time in February 2013 to ensure gamers continue to have a variety of content to enjoy after the holidays and into the New Year,” Sony said in a statement.
There is one bright spot to the delay. When the game does come out, it’ll be compatible with Sony’s new Cross-Buy feature, so when you buy one version of the game for PS3, you’ll get the Vita version free of charge. Bargain!
The game is currently slated for a February release. We’ll have a preview for you soon.
