It's time to kick more butt in Hong Kong.

Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs was indeed a “sleeper” hit when it came out last year, providing a fun action title that took place in the heart of Hong Kong. Well, good news – there’s more where that came from.

United Front Games, the developer behind Dogs, confirmed on its web page today that a sequel by the name of Triad Wars is in the works, and set for release sometime in 2014.

The developer stopped just shy of confirming platforms for the title, or what it was about just yet, but it did express its excitement in the forthcoming project. “Well, we’re super-excited that it’s another game based in the Sleeping Dogs universe, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for ages, and we’re very happy to be working with Square Enix again…but that’s all we can give you for the time being – we’ll have more information about what the game’s going to be in 2014,” said the announcement.

Here’s hoping for more street races and more brawls!

Sleeping Dogs is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
