A new take on classic literature

When thatgamecompany, the studio behind Flower and Journey, announced its latest game for mobile platforms, there was some trepidation. But now that Sky: Children of Light is coming to the Nintendo Switch, a new case is being made for a bigger audience to check this game out. Ahead of its June 29 launch, a new launch trailer has dropped to emphasize what to expect from this game.

If you take a look at Sky: Children of Light you’ll see a lot of similarities between it and thatgamecompany’s other games. Like Flower, you’re tasked as the player to restore a damaged world. And like Journey, there’s an element of meeting other players in distinct ways along the journey.

Sky: Children of Light is also an ongoing game, with more content on the way. For example, this new Nintendo Switch version trailer includes a look at a new chunk of content based on the classic “The Little Prince” story.
