Electronic Arts and the development team at Maxis have officially announced the upcoming sequel The Sims 4, which is slated to release next year for PC and Mac. The announcement was made through Maxis’ official web page with the promise of more details sometime this week.
“The Sims franchise is fueled by the passion and creativity of its millions of fans around the world,” said the post. “Their continued devotion to the franchise ignites the fire of creativity of the team at The Sims studio, driving them to continually improve and innovate on one of the world’s most successful simulation game that has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide.”
We’ll have more details in a later news report, followed by a strategic preview that will break down what to expect from the sequel.
