Epic Games gave us our first look at the upcoming Fortnite Avengers Endgame event yesterday with the debut of Captain America’s shield, now the studio is teasing yet another image – this time centering around Stormbreaker.
Whatever it takes.

Captioned “Whatever it takes,” it looks like the second time is the charm when it comes to Marvel’s invasion of Fortnite’s Battle Royale universe. The first time Epic Games decided to celebrate a new Avengers movie was with Infinity War.
The collision of worlds saw Thanos crash the battle royale mode while players aimed to stop him and his powerful Infinity Gauntlet. While cool, it was limited to the one character even though players were very vocal about wanting associating skins and perhaps a bit more. Now it looks like Epic Games has listened to that feedback and we’ll be getting the entire team facing off against the big bad.
Details of the event have been kept under wraps in true Epic style, but just by the teasers alone it looks much more intricate than the previous event. Though it’s nice to see some form of official confirmation, the news of the Avengers once more taking on battle royale isn’t a total surprise. Earlier this month we had an extensive leak datamined from the game’s files that showed that Thanos would be indeed returning, though it looks like Epic Games is ready to expand upon the first event to be more than just Thanos himself.
Though the first event had a rocky start with a few needed balance changes, the overall reactions to the previous Thanos event were overall positive. It will be interesting to see how this event differs from the first one and how much more of the Marvel-verse Epic Games is willing to implement into the online title itself.
The battle kicks off on April 25th – this week – for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
