Though it’s not quite the newest beat-em-up on the market, the old-school charm of Ubisoft’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is undeniable, even if its difficulty is a bit on the hefty side. There’s just something about the game’s 8-bit style design that hooks us. And now it looks like we’ll be returning to it, starting next week.
Ubisoft has confirmed that the game, which was a tie-in to the live action Scott Pilgrim movie that came out a couple of years ago, will finally be getting its upcoming downloadable content on February 6th. This pack includes an update that lets you play online for the first time with fellow Xbox Live subscribers, as well as a new character, Wallace Wells, who’s available for 160 Microsoft points ($2). He’s the first addition to the game in what seems like ages, following the previous pack that introduced femme fatale Knives Chau. (No word on when the update will arrive for PlayStation Network.)
This is good news for fans of the game, especially for those who’ve been looking for help in taking on the powerful bosses. The more the merrier, right?
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is available now for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
