The Ubisoft conference has been bringing the heat, and while a few things leaked ahead of time, that does nothing to stop the hype. Leaks happen, unfortunately, but they don't have to ruin things if this Ubisoft conference is anything to go by. After the fanfare of the Assassin's Creed Symphony, the beauty of the dog on stage, and the sheer pandemonium of the Just Dance 2020 reveal, we got to see Roller Champions.
Roller Champions has teams of 3 facing off against each other in a bid to outskate the opposition and come out on top while holding the ball and eventually dunking it through a hoop. It looks like this is Ubisoft's attempt at Rocket League, and it honestly looks like a lot of fun.
The scoring mechanics are intriguing. The aim is to do as many laps as you can before getting the ball through the hoop, the more you do, the higher the score. The risk comes from the fact that if you the other team manages to steal the ball from you then all of your hard work is for naught and you'll get nothing.
The game is currently set to release in 2020, but you can actually go to Uplay on PC right now and download an alpha if you can't wait. This will last until June 14th, so if you want to try it out, then you'll need to be pretty quick.
