River City: Tokyo Rumble Getting a Physical Version This Fall

Fans of the River City franchise have been feverishly awaiting the arrival of the latest chapter, Tokyo Rumble, for the 3DS, which is scheduled to release later this year. Now, however, they’ll have the option to score a special version of the game.

Natsume has confirmed that a limited physical release of Tokyo Rumble will make the rounds this fall at the same time as the digital release, though it didn’t entail what all would be included in the package.

“[Tokyo Rumble] was going to be digital-only,” Graham Markay, Natsume’s vice president of operations, said, speaking with Polygon. “You don’t have to sell to retail or try to explain or try to get the physical product placed on store shelves [with online exclusive releases]. That gives you the ability to take a few more chances.”
