The console war between Microsoft and Sony involves each company attempting to gain advantages over the other. In Microsoft’s case, the publisher just made Xbox One owners happy and PS4 fans angry with the surprise announcemnt that Rise of the Tomb Raider is Xbox One exclusive for holiday 2015.

The latest adventure heads back to Lara Croft’s early days as she accepts her role as the greatest thrill seeker the video game world has ever seen. Beyond that, we know little about the game, though if it’s anything like the last Tomb Raider, expect gruesome deaths, thrilling gun battles and plenty of loot to pick up.
If you happen to play on PS4 or PC, don’t worry. The game should appear on those platforms the following year.
