Originally, Re:Verse was scheduled to release free with Resident Evil Village on May 7. An updated release date has yet to be provided, but we’ll be sure to share that with you as soon as it’s announced.

In the meantime, here’s what we know about the Re:Verse release date change…

Resident Evil Re:Verse Coming Summer 2021, Won’t Launch With Village

As spotted by reporters on IGN and Eurogamer, the release date for Resident Evil Re:Verse has been changed. Instead of launching with Resident Evil Village on May 7, Re:Verse will instead launch sometime later this Summer.

An exact release date has yet to be provided, with the official website only showing “Summer 2021” as the release window for Re:Verse (seen in the image above). In addition to the Summer 2021 release, the specifications on the game’s website note that Re:Verse will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

PlayStation 5 will play the PlayStation 4 version, and the Xbox Series X will play the Xbox One version. Re:Verse is an online game that supports four to six players, and will be included with Resident Evil Village. The inclusion of Re:Verse with Village hasn’t changed.

It’s unclear why Re:Verse has been quietly pushed back, but as other sites have noted, the beta tests for Re:Verse didn’t go very well. It looks like Re:Verse needs a little more time and polish, and “Summer 2021” does sound promising. It’s possible we could see Re:Verse as soon as June or July, fingers crossed.

Until then, keep an eye out for Re:Verse news including information about a confirmed release date. After learning that Re:Verse has been pushed back to Summer 2021, we’re curious to hear your thoughts.
