PvP Gameplay Reveal for Overwatch 2 Set For May 20
Even though Overwatch 2 won’t be releasing in 2021, it seems like there will be a few opportunities for fans to catch a glimpse of the game while it’s still in development. One such opportunity was announced this week by Game Director Aaron Keller in a brief, but exciting developer update video.
The information shared centers around a PvP gameplay livestream which is set to take place on Thursday, May 20 at 12:00 p.m. (PT) and 3:00 p.m. (ET). You’ll be able to watch on the PlayOverwatch YouTube and Twitch channels.
During the livestream, viewers will be treated to PvP gameplay on some of the new maps in Overwatch 2, along with some discussion regarding changes coming to Overwatch 2’s PvP.
Keller is clear to add a disclaimer that everything being shown during the May 20 livestream is still under development and is still a work in progress. It’s also noted that the team will talk more about Overwatch 2’s PvP later this year.
And if you have specific questions about Overwatch that you’d like to ask, there will be a developer AMA (Ask Me Anything) on the Overwatch subreddit on May 24.
Again, if you’re itching to check out some PvP gameplay for Overwatch 2, be sure to check out the livestream on Thursday, May 20 at 12:00 p.m. (PT) and 3:00 p.m. (ET).
