Today, Puma and Sega announced the release date for the Puma x Sega RS-0 collection, an upcoming set of Sonic the Hedgehog-themed sneakers for fans who have ‘gotta go fast’! The collaboration features two pairs of shoes, one done in the style of Sonic the Hedgehog, and the other representing the style of his archnemesis, Dr. Eggman. The Puma x Sega RS-0 Sonic and Dr. Eggman sneakers will be available worldwide starting on June 5. The new sneaker line is a result of an exclusive partnership between Puma and Sega that was announced back in March 2018.
Puma x Sega RS-0 Sonic sneakers featurea fuzzy blue exterior with subtle touches reminiscent of the iconic Green Hill Zone level, including green grass and gold rings. The red sole of the shoe is symbolic of the red and white shoes worn by Sonic himself.
The collection also includes sneakers for Sonic’s archnemesis, Dr. Eggman, also known as Dr. Robotnik. These eye-catching sneakers feature a bright red, patent leather exterior and include black and yellow caution stripes from the villain’s iconic Eggmobile.
Each pair of Puma x Sega RS-0 sneakers will sell for a retail price of $130. Both pairs of sneakers in the collection are packaged in a special box designed in the style of the Green Hill Zone level. The Puma x Sega RS-0 sneaker collection will be available in Puma stores and on Puma.com starting on June 5, 2018.
