There is a limited quantity of beta keys available for this round of beta testing, so if you don’t make it into this beta test, you’ll have to wait until the next testing phase to try out the upcoming PUBG map. The PUBG Codename: Savage map beta test will run from today until April 5 at 4:00 am PT / 7:00 am ET.

The goal of the beta test is to get the PUBG community involved in the early stages of development for the 4x4km map to ensure the map is designed with player wishes in mind. According to today’s announcement, PUBG Corp. plans to host larger play tests once the new map reaches a better state.

The 4x4km map is a smaller, more fast-paced map that was initially revealed within PUBG’s 2018 Roadmap, which outlines what PUBG has in store for the year ahead. Fans got a sneak peek of the map itself in PUBG’s One Year Anniversary video, where the creators of PUBG thanked players for their ongoing support.
