PUBG Reveals Event Pass Ahead of Sanhok Map Release on PC

Celebrate the launch of Sanhok with the all new Event Pass in PUBG.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be getting an all new Event Pass this Friday, to coincide with the launch of the Sanhok map in on PC. The PUBG Event Pass offers a new way for players to earn and unlock exclusive in-game cosmetic items and customizations through a progression-based system.

The PUBG Event Pass essentially works the same as the Battle Pass does in Fortnite. Players who purchase the Event Pass will gain access to a series of missions that will unlock temporary and permanent in-game rewards as players level up the Event Pass. Items obtained through the Event Pass are non-tradeable and non-marketable.

The PUBG Event Pass will be available for purchase on Steam starting on Friday, June 22, the same day that the long-awaited Sanhok map arrives in PUBG on PC. The event period will last for about four weeks, ending on July 21.

PUBG Sanhok Event Pass Details

According to the official PUBG Sanhok page, the base PUBG Event Pass will cost $9.99, with an option to purchase an additional five levels for $4.99. PUBG will track your progress toward Event Pass missions regardless of whether you own the pass, so you can still unlock and claim all the rewards you earn even if you choose to buy the Event Pass partway through the event.

The first Event Pass will focus primarily on Sanhok, which means it will include Sanhok-specific Missions alongside its regular missions. “This first Event Pass is all about celebrating the launch of Sanhok, so it includes an item set that fits the map Sanhok thematically,” said PUBG Corp. in a recent developer letter on Steam.

For prospective players looking to purchase PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, now is a great time to buy the game on PC, as PUBG is currently marked down on Steam for the first time ever. The PUBG Steam Sale won’t last long, so be sure to snag a discounted copy of the game while you can. For more on PUBG, be sure to visit our PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds game hub.
