Earlier today, it was revealed that Krafton is collaborating with Castlevania producer Adi Shankar to create an animated series for PUBG. We don’t know anything else beyond this, but the idea in and of itself is intriguing.

PUBG Partners with Castlevania Producer Adi Shankar on Animated Project

Whether you’re an active PUBG player, or you used to play PUBG but have fallen off recently, there’s something interesting brewing that you may be interested in. Specifically, PUBG is getting an animated adaptation via a partnership between Krafton and Castlevania producer Adi Shankar.

On the PUBG_US Twitter account, the news was shared as follows:

“We’re proud to announce that we’re working with @adishankarbrand to expand our #PUBGUNIVERSE and to create an animated project based on the franchise. We can’t wait to announce more details down the road!”

As you can see, there isn’t a whole lot of information about what the animated project will look like, or what PUBG content is being adapted exactly. However, it is an exciting announcement for PUBG fans, and even former PUBG players who loved the world of PUBG and who are interested in experiencing it in a brand new way.

Speaking on the animated adaptation in the official press release, Adi Shankar said:

“To me, this animated project represents another step in the evolution of mending the torched bridge between the games industry and Hollywood. I look forward to revealing to everybody what winning a chicken dinner looks like.”

From that, it sounds like we’ll see some action and competition within the animated project where one person emerges as the victor (Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner). Of course, the animated project is in its earliest stages so anything could happen between now and the time we get a teaser trailer for the series.

While we wait to hear more about the newly announced PUBG animated project from Krafton and Adi Shankar, we’re curious to hear your thoughts. Are you looking forward to checking out an animated project for PUBG?
