PS5, Xbox Series X Release Window Seemingly Leaked by Fortnite Devs

The Joker would have something to do with this, wouldn't he?

Epic Games may have gone to war with tech giants recently, but they do still have a rather popular game to keep on its feet. A recent reveal for an upcoming Joker bundle in Fortnite shows off the caped crusader’s archnemesis, who will be coming to the game this fall, but the post may have also leaked the release window for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The Last Laugh Bundle itself is set to release on November 17th for consoles, with PC and mobile versions getting more information soon. However, what might be the most interesting piece of information is the fact that it says that the bundle “will also arrive in time for the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X next-generation consoles.” We haven’t gotten word of any specific launch dates for either console, so how is Epic so confident in stating this? Are they privy to information the general public lacks?

Well, we don’t know. The latest rumor is placing the release of Xbox Series X on November 6th. Microsoft has confirmed that their next-gen console will be arriving in November, but no official release date has been set. Sony has stated that they are still on track to launch the PlayStation 5 this holiday season, but again, no set release date. If Epic Games is to be believed, however, each console will be arriving around November 17th, which is when the Joker bundle drops.

Of course, it is entirely possible that Epic might know when the next generation of gaming consoles is set to arrive. It is also possible that they are just taking a stab in the dark and assuming that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be arriving just before, on, or a bit after November 17th. Unfortunately, we will just have to wait and see what Sony and Microsoft’s plans are regarding their upcoming hardware.

In any case, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are both set to arrive at some point this holiday season. As for The Last Laugh Bundle, it will be dropping on November 17th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There will be a digital and physical version available that includes 1,000 V-Bucks in addition to the actual bundle itself.
