Ubisoft have been asking advertisers if they’d like to have a few in-game promotional features.
The company announced this news at a presentation to Microsoft in New York yesterday. The developers are planning to analyze the most popular paths through the game and then use that information to divide spots into high and low profile space for advertisers.
Ubisoft man Jeffrey Dickstein revealed all this at Microsoft Advertising’s “Gaming Upfront” event, even going so far as to explain that advertising will be possible during moments of in-game torture, if that’s what companies want.
If, while you’re waiting around with nothing else better to do, you’d like to have a good look at the game, you could always have little look at our Splinter Cell: Conviction preview.
SC: Conviction, Ubisoft’s upcoming vengeful sneak and beat will be out for Xbox 360 and PC on 26th February.
