The Pokemon series is one of the most popular entertainment franchises in the world with games in various genres. However, the MOBA genre was never one that the world of Pokemon had ever touch before. The lack of a MOBA game changed on Wednesday, June 24th, when the title of Pokemon Unite was officially revealed to the world.

Pokemon Unite MOBA

Players will find that this particular game is a team-based five versus strategic battle game where individuals join forces to defeat other teams. Tencent is partnering with the franchise to develop Pokemon Unite with Timi Studios being the game development studio that is assigned the work of creating this new game.

Those who dive into the world of Pokemon Unite will be able to control their characters to battle with their teammates against other teams of characters in Pokemon Unite. Players must catch wild Pokemon that appear on the field and take them to one of the scoring points on the map to score points and help lead their team to victory. The team with the most points before the time limit will win the match.

Players will see their character start at level 1, which they will be able to level up and evolve to its more powerful forms by defeating wild Pokemon. Once you reach the highest level or your character, characters will be able to unlock battle moves that are unique to Pokemon Unite.

Pokemon Unite will be a free-to-play game for the Nintendo Switch and Android devices. Players on either platform will not have to worry about not being able to play with each other, as cross-platform play will be supported in Pokemon Unite.
