The new Pokemon MOBA, Pokemon Unite that was announced last year is finally coming to Nintendo Switch in July. It’s a new take on the Pokemon formula, that resembles something closer to League of Legends or DOTA 2 than traditional Pokemon games of the past.
Pokemon Unite Heads to Nintendo Switch Next Month
There’s a roster of 19 Pokemon currently with plans to add Pokemon over time. You’ll need to make a well-balanced team with other players to ensure your victory over the opposing squad.
You can check out a brand-new trailer below which shows a sweet cinematic and some gameplay at the end of it.
Some more information from the Pokemon Unite website gives us a better understanding of what players can expect when the game comes out on Nintendo Switch this July, and mobile devices in September.
“Players select the moves their Pokémon can potentially learn and the items it will hold in battle.
As the battle progresses, Pokémon will get stronger and learn a variety of new moves. Practice and discover which moves suit your playstyle the best!”
“Then, players deposit that Aeos energy into one of their opponents’ goal zones to score points for their team. At the end of battle, the team with the most points wins!
Work with your teammates to earn points and to defend your goal zones to limit your opponents’ opportunities to score.”
