The first Nintendo Download of 2017 kicks off today with one of the best N64 games. Pokémon Snap is currently available to download for the Wii U. Originally released in 1999, the N64 classic sends you to Pokémon Island, with the goal to take pictures of 63 different Pokémon in the wild. Then you submit your photographs to professor Oak, who will judge the pictures based on a Pokemon’s size, pose and other factors.
Of course, achieving the perfect shot takes some effort. You will need to coax Pokémon into position. There’s also a fun exploration element, as you wander around in search of new Pokémon and hidden areas. On that note, and if you need something to play after Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon Snap is $9.99 well spent.
Additionally, select games featuring Yoshi and Kirby are now part of My Nintendo Rewards. You can redeem My Nintendo Points to score discounts on the following titles: Kirby’s Epic Yarn for Wii U, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror for Wii U, Dedede’s Drum Dash Deluxe for 3DS, Yoshi’s Woolly World for Wii U and finally, Yoshi for Wii U and 3DS.
Meanwhile, you can get discounts on a variety of Wii U and 3DS games, including Nano Assault Ex, Soccer Up Online and Midnight 2. Check out the complete list of discounted Wii U and 3DS games and let us know which titles you intend to buy.
We’ll report the next round of Nintendo sales next week. For now, enjoy playing Pokémon Snap for Wii U!
We also have a free Pokemon Sun and Moon guide that will help you master the game. Learn how to ride Pokemon, get the Team Skull shirt and find Rockruff!
