A Pokemon Presents presentation aired over the weekend, and the next generation of Pokemon games were revealed. The two versions this time are called Scarlet and Violet, and the games are being advertised as “an open-world adventure.” Currently, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are planned for late 2022.

The two new mainline Pokemon games were revealed with a live action trailer, which slowly revealed the new starter Pokemon, the new basic protagonist designs and some of the game’s environments. There isn’t a whole lot to it, but it definitely seems like another big step in scale for the “core” Pokemon series. Check it out:
Also announced during the Pokemon Presents were new updates for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and several mobile titles from Masters EX to Unite. There’s new content, limited time events and even a code you can enter in Arceus to get a big bundle of special Pokeballs. You can see the whole presentation below:
