Nintendo have stamped a March 14th release date on Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver for North America, with a 26th March release planned for Europe.
The titles are reworkings of the classic Pokémon Gold and Silver releases that came out on the Game Boy Color back in 2000. They’re issued with a fancy new Pokéwalker gadget that lets you carry a Pokémon in your pocket and level it up simply by walking. There’s even a certain amount of gameplay on the Pokéwalker to be had, within this you’ll be able to find and store Pokémon that can be later be transferred back onto the game proper. Using the Pokéwalker can gain you watts for in-game spending and helps to make your Pokémon like you more as you’re storing them close to you, awww.
HeartGold and SoulSilver feature Wi-Fi support and are compatible with Pokémon the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum releases.
