Pokemon Fans Offered Another Shot at Coveted Felt Hat Pikachu Van Gogh Card

There's another chance to get your hands on the Felt Hat Pikachu promo.

One of the most wanted items from a recent collaboration between The Pokemon Company and The Van Gogh Museum is a unique special card that features Pikachu with a Felt Hat. This card is an item that scalpers quickly took as they stormed the location to hoard the exclusive promotional item. This turn of events was caught on social media, making The Pokemon Company apologize publicly.

Fast forward to today as some Pokemon fans received the following email from Pokemon Center:

“Hi, Trainer!

Fans shopping at Pokémon Center will soon receive another opportunity to obtain the Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat promo card. Trainers who purchase at least $30 of qualifying Pokémon TCG products will receive one Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat promo card with their order, while supplies last.* Stay tuned for additional updates via email and our official social media channels.”

Email from The Pokemon Center on October 12, 2023.

One of the possible reasons behind the scalper raid was a listing error in the official Pokemon Center website, which led many to believe the Museum’s version of the coveted card would be unique. However, this ended up not being the case.

Those who are eager to get the coveted Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat promo card will still have a chance to obtain one after buying specific Pokemon TCG products at a later date. While the qualifying products haven’t been made clear, it still is a decent shot for fans to get the coveted collaboration card at a price that isn’t over $1,000 USD.
