Playground Games Finally Responds To Growing Forza Horizon 6 Community Frustration
Playground Addresses Player Concerns
Forza Horizon 6 is going through a rough phase in its lifecycle. Players have been increasingly frustrated with the game’s post-launch support and the lack of communication from Playground Games.
Many have been asking for more content, deeper car customization, additional online features, and more ways to use the game’s massive map. Even creators have criticized the lack of communication from the developers, with the community increasingly asking Playground Games to address their concerns.
After all the backlash, Playground Games finally responded and addressed the situation, stating that they are not communicating with the players as much as they should.
Why Players Are Frustrated
Forza Horizon games are great, but they tend to lose some of their novelty after a while. Once you’ve explored the map and built up a decent garage, there isn’t always much left to do. This has been a recurring criticism of the franchise, and many players expected Forza Horizon 6 to do more to address it.
Players have been asking for more community features, a greater focus on street racing, and meaningful additions to the existing game. There are also complaints about missing features from previous games, such as voice chat. On top of that, there is still no news on when Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5, which should have been announced by now.
The latest Horizon Meets update is a good example of why some players aren’t satisfied with the current approach to post-launch content. The update adds a 7-Eleven-themed car meet, three new cars, a Treasure Car, additional Horizon Play levels, and new EventLab content. However, it doesn’t address some of the features players have been requesting, including more city racing.
The upcoming City Life update should help in that regard, as it will add more city-focused racing content. However, the bigger issue for many players appears to be communication. Even when Playground Games has new content in the works, players don’t always know what the studio is planning or whether their feedback is being heard.
Playground Games’ latest statement at least confirms that the studio is aware of the complaints. However, the developer hasn’t revealed exactly what it plans to change, meaning players will have to wait and see whether this response leads to meaningful changes for Forza Horizon 6.
